Baby Yoda Apple Sour Whisky

The cocktail you’ll need to make to celebrate Star Wars Day!

Baby Yoda, The Child, Grogu… whatever you call the little green guy in The Mandalorian, he sure is adorable – and it’s no wonder there are so many ‘Baby Yoda’ cocktail recipes out there.

Well, I have come up with my very own recipe inspired by this charming character, to celebrate Star Wars Day. I have collaborated with the amazing Scottish (and Glasgow-based) whisky brand Douglas Laing & Co to create an epic Baby Yoda cocktail using The Epicurean whisky.

This cocktail is sure to impress any fans of the Star Wars saga (and more specifically, The Mandalorian, where we met the wonderful little Yoda dude). But also, this cocktail is for everyone, whisky lovers and cocktail lovers, as it is truly delicious!

I think whisky cocktails are way underrated. While I do love a great Single Malt on its own, I believe whisky is also a versatile spirit, and one to experiment with. Indeed, this cocktail I created is a great example of whisky paired with other ingredients to create something fresh, zesty, unique! This recipe is a winner. Try it, you must! (said in Yoda’s voice 😁)

Some popular Baby Yoda cocktails use Midori for that vibrant green colour, which is a melon flavour liqueur. I am not a fan of the flavour of Midori, so for the green tone, I used Sour Apple liqueur. I enjoy the flavour of apple liqueur much more, and it’s a great ingredient to mix with a dram like The Epicurean.

The Epicurean is the ultimate distillation of the Lowlands of Scotland, offered proudly without colouring or chill-filtration. A master of versatility; this sweet, fresh & zesty Lowland Malt is perfect for cocktail hour or simply for sipping.

With only a handful of ingredients and very easy-to-follow instructions, you’ll have the perfect drink to celebrate Star Wars day like never before.
